2017-2018 Board Sworn in at the Annual Meeting

The Members of the New Jersey Club Managers Association elected and swore in their new Chapter Officers and Directors at its Annual Meeting at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, New Jersey on November 7, 2017.
The duly appointed Nominating Committee chaired by John Gomez, CCM, (President 2013-2015) presented a slate Officers and Directors 2017-2018 to the Members.
The election results are as follows:

• President, for a one-year term:
• Michael Pollack, CCM, CCE, General Manager of Deal Golf & Country Club, Deal, NJ

• Vice President, for a one-year term:
• Ryan Brennan, CCM, General Manager of Clubhouse Operations, Manasquan River Golf Club, Brielle, NJ

• Treasurer/Secretary, for a one-year term:
• Mike Azbill, CCM, General Manager, Indian Trail Club, Franklin Lakes, NJ

• Director, for a one-year term:
• Alexander Mueller, CCM, General Manager, Beacon Hill COuntry Club, Atlantic Highlands, NJ

• Director for a one-year term:
• Sail S. Bokil, General Manager, Hollywood Golf Club, Deal, NJ

Director for a two-year term:
• Michael Nyerges, Clubhouse Manager, Fiddler's Elbow Country Club, Bedminster, NJ

• Past President:
• Mr. Albert Costantini, CCM, CCE, General Manager, Canoe Brook Country Club, Summit, NJ 

The newly elected Officers and Directors will join the members of the Board of Directors currently serving:

The newly elected Officers and Directors will assume their duties and responsibilities effective November 1, 2017, and will participate in the NJCMA Board of Directors' Retreat and Strategic Planning Session in January at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ

Annual Meeting Recap

On Tuesday, November 7th, 2017, 98 Members and guests attended our NJCMA Annual Meeting and Wine Dinner. At the meeting, CMAA Secretary/Treasurer Randy Ruder, CCM, spoke on the state of our National Association and what the Association has in store over the next few years.• In addition, the NJ Club Foundation awarded scholarships to two students from Fairleigh Dickenson University. 
• Marisela Tapia, Student at Fairleigh Dickinson University, 2018 (Intern at Mountain Ridge CC)
• Diana
 Poblete, Student at Fairleigh Dickinson University (Intern at Glen Ridge CC)

Also, Gallo Wines issued a check for $5,500 to the
 Chapter as a thank you for the Chapter Clubs purchasing of their products. This represents a $500 increase over last year’s amount and hopefully we can increase this amount again next year. The proceeds from the donation go directly to our Chapter’s Wine Society programs such as the Karl Habib Wine Society Scholarship. This Scholarship provides up to $5,000 of wine education to the recipient. This year’s winner of the award is Chris Lukov, Food & Beverage Manager at Spring Brook Country Club.

This was also the last meeting
  for our President, Albert Costantini, CCM, CCE. Although Albert steps down as NJCMA President, he continues on the NJCMA Board as Past President for the next 2 years  and has assumed the role of Chairman of the NJ Club Foundation.
The night was not over yet as Harrison Heitz from Heitz Cellars wines treated us to an array of their superb wines. We wish to thank Wine Society Committee Chairman Ryan Brennan, CCM for working with Mr. Heitz on the selections. 
Lastly, we wish to thank Albert for hosting the meeting and dinner at Canoe Brook CC and to also thank his staff and especially Executive Chef Carolyn Flinn for the outstanding 4 course dinner.
